Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian activist, is listed as one of 50 prisoners who may be released in an extended hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas. She gained attention in 2017 for a video confronting IDF soldiers and is viewed as a symbol of Palestinian resistance. Tamimi was arrested last month on suspicion of inciting violence and advocating for terrorist acts. She has a history of confrontations with the IDF and was previously convicted in 2018. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has called for her release and an end to ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Joanie Margulies contributed to this report.
