Erdogan: Peace unlikely in Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza

Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan stated that peace in Gaza was lost due to Israel’s uncompromising approach. Erdogan emphasized the need for a permanent ceasefire and expressed hope for a lasting peace in the conflict, including Hamas in potential solutions. Israel has proposed creating a buffer zone on the Palestinian side of Gaza’s border to prevent future attacks. Erdogan also mentioned a contact group formed by the OIC and Arab League, which would visit the United States to discuss a possible resolution for the Gaza conflict after meeting with authorities in London, Paris, Barcelona, and the United Nations.
