Escape from Hamas: Thousands of Gazans Seek Safety through IDF Corridor

The IDF allowed Gazan civilians to use a humanitarian corridor to pass to the southern end of the Strip. The corridor was open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) shared footage of Palestinians waving white flags as they passed through the corridor. The Israeli military provided instructions to the civilians to head south, and also accused Hamas of undermining the humanitarian efforts and using civilians as human shields. This is the second day of the IDF allowing civilians to pass southward without any reported terror incidents. Hamas had previously used mortars and artillery to prevent the corridor from being opened to the movement of civilians.
