Houthis Target International Shipping in the Red Sea

The Greek-flagged bulker Sea Champion arrived in Aden, Yemen after a mistaken missile strike by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea. Shipping risks are increasing due to drone and missile strikes by the Houthis. The vessel was attacked twice on Monday but no crew members were injured. It is discharging part of its cargo in Aden before heading to Hodeidah. The attack was deemed unintentional and the Houthis have not commented. The vessel’s operator and Greek officials declined to comment. The Houthis have attacked vessels with ties to the US, UK, and Israel.
