In a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed his frustration with the government’s West Bank policy. Smotrich called for a shake-up in security measures in the region, including the creation of dead zones around Jewish towns and preventing the entry of Palestinians. Despite his comments, Israeli NGO Yesh Din reported that settlers have attacked Palestinians in over 100 incidents across at least 62 towns and villages in the West Bank. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, 122 Palestinians have died in the West Bank since October 7, including clashes with Israeli security forces and settlers. On Monday, security forces arrested 38 Palestinian terror suspects in the West Bank, including five who were Hamas-affiliated. Additionally, three printing houses used to distribute Hamas propaganda were destroyed, and forces shot at Palestinian rioters and stone-throwers in the villages of Halhoul and Beit Annan.
