Iran Shares Intelligence with Iraq for Strike on ‘Mossad HQ’, Claims Official

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stated that Tehran shared intelligence with Iraq on Mossad’s activities in the Kurdish region of Iraq. Iran claimed that it attacked Israel’s “spy HQ” in Erbil, Iraq, but Iraq denied the existence of such a spy center. Amirabdollahian explained that the attack was in retaliation for Mossad’s actions against Iran. He emphasized that Iran will respond vigorously to any actions by Israel and clarified that the attack targeted Israel, not Iraq. He also mentioned that Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself against Israel’s actions in the Kurdistan region. This comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Iran due to the Gaza war and attacks by Iranian proxy group the Houthis against Red Sea Cargo ships.
