Iranian leaders call for increased domestic production to address economic challenges

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei urged citizens to focus on boosting domestic production to address economic challenges in a New Year’s speech. Khamenei emphasized the importance of increasing output in various economic sectors to combat issues like inflation, unemployment, and currency stabilization.

In his address, Khamenei praised Iran’s progress in scientific, technological, and infrastructure areas over the past year. Despite these advancements, he acknowledged the country’s challenges, including economic difficulties, a terrorist attack in Kerman, floods in Sistan and Baluchestan, and security force assaults.

President reports 6% economic growth, decrease in inflation

President Ebrahim Raisi echoed Khamenei’s message, expressing optimism for the future and pledging to focus on economic growth and reducing inflation. Raisi highlighted a six percent economic growth rate and a significant drop in inflation from 55% at the beginning of the year to 35% by the end, showcasing the government’s dedication to improving Iran’s economic landscape and public services.
