Additionally, Iraq summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires in Baghdad to protest the attacks on Erbil. France also accused Iran of violating Iraq’s sovereignty after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed to have struck an Israeli “spy headquarters” in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, calling it a “blatant, unacceptable and worrying” violation. France’s Foreign Ministry emphasized the need for these actions to stop to avoid escalating regional tensions.
