Jordan’s King Abdullah took part in a humanitarian aid airdrop to Gaza on Feb. 6, as the Jordanian Air Force conducted its 11th airdrop mission to deliver urgent medical supplies to field hospitals in the war-torn enclave. Additionally, the king is set to meet with US President Joe Biden in Washington on Feb. 12 to push for an immediate ceasefire. Jordan has been working to ease the pressure on the main Rafah border crossing by establishing another land route from Jordan for aid deliveries to Gaza. The country is also concerned that the conflict in Gaza could lead to wider violence and a large-scale Palestinian exodus to the West Bank.
