Tragic Loss: Border Police Officer Killed in Intense Clashes in Jenin

Israeli military clashes with Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank city of Jenin left one Border Police officer dead and several others injured. The wounded officers were taken to Rambam Medical Center for treatment. Sgt. Shai Garmai, 19, died in the clashes and is survived by her family. An Israeli airstrike targeted a Palestinian terrorist cell, resulting in six deaths. Clashes began when Israeli forces entered the city, with terrorists setting off explosives and firing at Israeli forces. Israeli forces also conducted raids in Nablus and Kalkilya.

Raids by Israeli forces were also reported in Nablus and Kalkilya overnight, according to Palestinian media. Armed clashes erupted in Nablus amid the raid in the city. Israeli forces have conducted several operations in Jenin since the outbreak of the war with Hamas in 2022. In a separate incident near the British Police Junction at Wadi al-Haramiya in Binyamin, an east Jerusalem Arab was killed in what is being investigated as a terror shooting attack. Neither the IDF nor the Shin bet had clarified why they were categorizing the attack as a terror attack, as opposed to a criminal dispute. The attack resulted in the death of Amar Mansour and serious injuries to another individual.
